Peptides & IV Therapy GUIDE
Skin Renewal Peptide
GHK-Cu. GHK-Cu is a copper peptide investigated for skin-related effects. Injectable use is different from topical skin care; evidence and safety for cosmetic injections remain limited.
General patient education. Your clinician’s individual instructions take priority. An online guide cannot determine eligibility or replace an examination.
Before your appointment
- Bring your medication and supplement list and discuss your medical history. Ask about evidence, risks, alternatives, and current availability. A consultation does not guarantee a prescription or treatment.
- Bring your medicines, supplements and goals. Ask which exact substance is being discussed, its approval status, evidence, risks and alternatives.
- A consultation does not mean a peptide will be prescribed. Do not use research-only products or self-inject based on a menu description.
What to expect
Your provider reviews your goals, medical history, and whether any further evaluation is needed. Compounded peptide preparations are not FDA-approved; expected benefits, uncertainties, and alternatives should be discussed before deciding on care.
After your visit
- If a treatment is prescribed, obtain written product-specific storage, administration, monitoring and adverse-effect instructions from your clinician and pharmacy.
- There is no universal peptide aftercare schedule. Do not substitute instructions from another product.
Follow-up & what to expect
The visit connects your goals with a clinical assessment and a clear explanation of your options. Benefit, appropriate monitoring and longer-term safety may be uncertain. Your clinician will explain which outcomes are supported by evidence and how progress would be assessed.
Your questions, answered
What is GHK-Cu?
GHK-Cu is a copper-binding peptide studied for roles in skin biology and tissue remodeling. It is found in some topical skincare products and is also discussed in injectable research. The route matters: findings about a cream do not establish the effectiveness or safety of an injection. Your clinician can compare the evidence and appropriate skin-care alternatives.
What alternatives can I discuss?
Ask about a skin diagnosis, sunscreen, established topical treatments and appropriately selected procedures. The choice should reflect your concern and the evidence, not the name “Skin Renewal.”
Does a consultation guarantee a prescription?
No. The clinician must consider whether any proposed treatment is appropriate and currently available. A listed menu item is not approval to use it.
What should I ask before deciding?
Ask for the exact substance and formulation, approval status, evidence in people, known and unknown risks, pharmacy source, alternatives and total cost. A product described as research-only should not be used for self-treatment.
Is compounded the same as FDA-approved?
No. Compounding is not FDA approval of the finished product. Do not assume that approval of a different brand, route or indication applies to this preparation.
How do I use or store it?
There is no safe universal schedule for peptides. If prescribed, obtain product-specific written instructions and training from the prescriber and dispensing pharmacy. Do not use internet dose charts or instructions from another substance.
How will we know if it is helping?
Agree on measurable goals, a review date, monitoring and reasons to stop. Report adverse effects promptly. Avoid adding several treatments at once without a coordinated plan.
Planning your visit
What will it cost?
Confirm visit fees and what is included before scheduling. Tests, medication, supplies or additional visits may be separate. Ask about insurance eligibility for medical care; coverage is not guaranteed. A consultation is not advertised as free.
